Largest Samba Event Outside of Brazil
Japan is home to the most samba schools outside of Brazil. Mostly run by student groups, they have their annual event at the end of summer, always the last weekend in August in the older district of Tokyo. It's the biggest samba event of the year in Japan with hundreds of people participating in the parade. Take Ginza-line, Toei Asakusa line, Tobu Isezaki line or Tsukuba express to the Asakusa station.
