Policies And Guidelines for NeWiki
Here you will find the policies behind NeWiki. They are very different from established Wikis like Wikipedia.org.
This does not mean that everything is allowed in NeWiki. It is still an encyclopedia and still must conform to the idea of an encyclopedia. NeWiki is not all inclusive by any means. In fact, it excludes much more than mainstream knowledge.
[edit] What is Allowed
- Works not Publishable in the Mainstream - All works that are not accepted or are listed as unacceptable or pseudo by the mainstream are welcomed and encouraged to be published in NeWiki.
- New Theories - If you have a theory that is sincerely motivated, than you are welcome.
- Noteworthy Self Publication - You are absolutely encouraged to publish information about yourself as long it is done in a way that would fit any encyclopedia and that the accomplishment is or will be noteworthy. Noteworthy is something that you think will eventually become an important part of human history in the future.
[edit] What is Not Allowed
- Self Registration - You must be approved that you have the need and are doing serious work to be approved to edit NeWiki.
- Using a Pseudo Name - You must use your real name to contribute to this wiki.
- Anything Non-Encyclopedic - Any information that does not add to the general knowledge of the human race is not welcome.
- Opinions - NeWiki is not a blog.
- Tweaks to Mainstream Knowledge - This is not the place for tweaks or small changes to current knowledge. This is part of the mainstream and is accepted as "fringe" in the mainstream. This is not allowed here.
- Spoofs - If your goal is to come here and trash, make fun of, or to mock new ideas by creating a "spoof" theory, idea, or piece of information or data, then it is not welcome.
- Mainstream Knowledge - NeWiki goal is to provide things that are not in the mainstream of knowledge. You can talk about mainstream knowledge and even rewrite history if you like including current mainstream knowledge as long as the result is new.
